Air Botswana Promotes Environmentally Sustainable Practices
Air Botswana as a business, ensures that its operations are conducted in an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable manner. Over the years, the Airline has conducted several environmental management initiatives including conservation efforts, litter picking and other forms of support to various organisations as part of its corporate social responsibility activities. The Airline conducted its community service day in partnership with Forest Conservation Botswana (FCB) and planted 50 trees at Metsimotlhabe Primary School while over 150 trees were donated to students for planting at their homes.
The tree planting activity aimed at addressing adverse effects of Climate Change on the environment. Moreover, the environment is a significant enabler for all activities and operations of the Airline, as such, sustainability of the operation is dependent on preservation and minimising negative impact on the environment.
